Magnesium 5,000™ is recommended to help support normal muscle/nerve function, glucose metabolism and immune system. Low magnesium levels or deficiency can contribute to nervousness, depression, abnormal behavior, muscle tremors, lack of coordination, respiratory problems, growth failure and more. Since a symptom of magnesium deficiency is agitation or anxiety, it’s included in many calming supplements.

Magnesium plays many roles in the horse’s body and is involved in the formation of bone and protein synthesis, helps maintain electrolyte balance, promotes normal blood pressure, influences nervous system regulation and is a co-factor for a number of enzymes.
