Betadine Scrub 7.5%

Betadine® Surgical Scrub Veterinary 7.5% is an antiseptic, microbial scrub that kills bacteria, viruses, protozoa, fungi, and yeasts. It is composed of 7.5% povidone iodine for pre-operative prepping of skin on companion animals, including dogs, cats, and horses, and helps to reduce bacteria that potentially can cause skin infection. Directions for Use:
After the surgical area is clipped, wet with water. Apply Scrub (1 cc is sufficient to cover an area of 20-30 square inches), develop lather, and scrub thoroughly for about five minutes. Rinse off using sterile gauze saturated with water. The area may then be painted with Betadine® Solution Veterinary (sold separately) and allowed to dry.

Warnings:
For external use only. For professional veterinary use only. Do not use this product in the eyes or on food-producing animals.
Prolonged exposure to wet solution may cause irritation or, rarely, severe skin reactions. In pre-operative prepping, avoid “pooling” beneath the animal. Stop use and ask a veterinarian if irritation and redness develop or in rare instances of local irritation or sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
