Recommend for dry hooves.
Great to hydrate hooves. We run our draft horses.barefoot and use this twice a.week.to.maintain hoof moisture. Works great!

the important ingredient
Pine tar is the most important ingredient in hoof dressings, so I skip the fillers. Katie's hooves and frogs do well with pine tar applications.

Homemade hoof care!
This is a great product that, when mixed with mineral oil, is a natural hoof protectant, salve and beneficial in helping hoof cracks, sand lines, etc It has helped one of our rescue equines with chronic hoof issues by sealing & deterring further cracks & infection. Mix 16 oz pine tar to 48 oz mineral oil.. Clean cracked & chipped hooves well before applying. It is a mess to make but in the long run, a large value compared to the retail stuff.
