Directions for Use:
• Enclosed scoop holds 6 ounces. Give 6 oz per day for 6 to 8 months. Change to a maintenance level of 3 oz per day.
• If the problem persists, resume giving 6 oz per day.
• Dosage based on an 1,100 lb horse. Adjust amount given according to body weight – more for larger horses, less for smaller horses, ponies or foals.

I have been very happy with this product. My horse is a very finicky eater and he eats this supplement willingly even without grain. I have definitely noticed a gradual improvement in his hooves. Improvement does not happen overnight, but product claims healthier hoof growth in 6-8 months. Relatively inexpensive and worth the investment, but plan on committing to use it over the long-term to see results.

Have used this product for years on my QHs, one with small feet and low heals (halter type) and one with flared feet and thin walls. This product has kept their feet in good strong condition, helping to manage their issues. Regretfully one time I made the mistake of switching to a cheaper brand (actually costing more) that I started buying at the feed mill out of sheer convenience. I used the cheaper product for about 6 months before I realized how bad my horses feet were getting. Even my shoer noticed the change. Well of course went back to H.S.S. and we are back on track with healthy hooves again. By the way, the pellets are easy to feed and taste great.
